How to protect nails from chlorine and salt water

What does chlorine and salt water do to nails?

Chlorine is a disinfectant substance which will surely take of your nail polish little by little and damage you nails. If your hands spend a lot of time in a pool your nails will suffer.Likely salt water will do the same to your nails, because the salt will get onto your nails and change their feel and look. Chorine and salt water can turn your nails yellow and also cause discoloration.

In order to remedy this use a nail hardener and always moisturize your hands and cuticles. Dry hands and cuticles  create a dry environment for your nail bed which makes it harder for healthy nails to grow.  Make sure you continue to use a base and top coat before and after manicures, and continue to eat a well balanced diet.
